Overview

Pinidea is a personal tool that helps you extract, categorize, and export your own Pinterest board and pin data. Your privacy is important to us.

Data We Access

When you connect your Pinterest account, we access the following data through the Pinterest API with your explicit permission:

  • Your public board names, descriptions, and cover images
  • Pin details including titles, descriptions, images, and source URLs
  • Basic account information (username)

How We Use Your Data

Your Pinterest data is used solely to display it within the application and generate export files (JSON, CSV, Markdown) that you download to your own device. We do not use your data for any other purpose.

Data Storage

When you create an account, your profile information and saved pins are stored securely in our database (hosted by Supabase) so that your data persists between sessions. Pinterest authentication tokens are stored both in encrypted HTTP-only cookies on your browser and in the database for session continuity.

All data is protected by row-level security policies, ensuring only you can access your own data. Your data is automatically deleted when you delete your account.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third parties. Your data is only transmitted between your browser, our secure database, and the Pinterest API.

Your Rights

You can disconnect your Pinterest account at any time by logging out of the application. You can also revoke access through your Pinterest account settings under connected apps. To delete all your stored data, you can delete your account from the settings page.
